New Patron for the Veteran Horse Society.
Spencer Wilton alongside other members of Team GB, brought home the Team Silver Medal from the Olympics at Rio this year. An truly outstanding achievement.
The Society now is delighted to announce that Spencer Wilton will now be Patroning the work of the Society in the future.
British Dressage and VHS recently joined forces to offer Veteran Horses and Riders the opportunity to compete at their own ‘Veteran Dressage Championship’ and with the popularity in 2015, the 2016 Championship increased to 3 days. Those riders wishing to qualify for 2017, will need to obtain 2 scores over 60% at an affiliated BD competition and become a member of each organisation.
Spencer spoke of becoming Patron this week
I am truly honoured to represent all of our mature veteran horses and ponies and patron the Veteran Horse Society. Whatever discipline they have previously encountered, it is wonderful to see them enjoying or revisiting competitions. Dressage is now my passion and fully endorse this within the Veteran Horse Society.
Julianne Aston spoke from VHS Head Office ‘We are just delighted that Spencer is supporting the Organisation and also promoting the care and welfare of veterans. By showing his support for all aspects of the older horse, it can only promote our work and we hope encourage even more support for our veteran disciplines’.
